Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 16, 2026
The Anxiety Authority is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe access to mental health information and services should not be limited by how you use the web.
Conformance status
We aim to conform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. WCAG defines requirements to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
This site is a small, single-practitioner website and has not undergone a formal third-party audit. We rely on modern semantic HTML, built-in browser features, and ongoing manual review.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page
- Provide descriptive alt text for images
- Support keyboard-only navigation
- Honor
prefers-reduced-motionfor users sensitive to animation - Use color combinations that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for body text
- Use readable font sizing that scales with your browser's zoom level
- Include a "skip to content" link on every page
Known limitations
We acknowledge the following known gaps and are working to address them:
- The introductory animation on the home page is decorative. Users with
prefers-reduced-motionenabled will see a simplified version. A future update will allow dismissal via keyboard. - The short introduction video does not yet include captions. A transcript is available on request by emailing matt@theanxietyauthority.com.
Telehealth and alternative formats
All clinical services offered by the Practice are available via telehealth throughout Texas and in-person at the office. If you need any document (intake forms, privacy notices, estimates) in an alternative format — large print, accessible PDF, plain text, or by phone — please ask.
Feedback and requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, or if you need help accessing any information or service, please let us know. We welcome feedback and will do our best to respond within three business days.
